Saturated Canary Challenge

Good Morning

Well this week I've had time to visit quite a few blogs and have a look at everyone's beautiful creations and find a number of sites that I haven't visited before and get my paws on some new images. One of the blogs I have discovered is saturatedcanary.blogspot.com.  The blog is created by Krista who draws some gorgeous images - the one I have used is called Ava.  TC is going to a party on Sunday so I have created this card for him to send to his little classmate.  I am entering this card into challenge number 19 at http://saturatedcanarychallenge.blogspot.co.uk/ (well I will be doing if I can remember how to link my post)

I've really enjoyed being creative over the past couple of days - I hadn't made any cards for a while so it's been nice to get back into it.

Well I'm going to hunt out my wellies and go outside and jump in a few puddles I think - there are enough of them (although not in the muddy ones like Peppa Pig -  LOL - it's too bad that TC is getting to old to watch Peppa - I still love it)

Thanks for stopping by and taking a peek

Diamond Jubilee in the eyes of a 6 year old.

Good Morning

I know it's been a week since we started the Jubilee celebrations but I thought I would share with you the picture that TC drew of the Queen.  I have promised him we can send it to the Palace - so we are off to the Post Office in a few minutes for a large letter Stamp.  He is very proud of his picture and his writing - and of course as his Mum I am too.  Although . . . . . . I'm not too sure about about those turquoise tights !!!

Thank's for stopping by to look at my post today. Have a nice weekend

Happy New Year.......almost

Good Afternoon Everyone

Hope everyone has had an amazing Christmas.

I can't believe another year has come and gone - the older you get the quicker the time passes.  Thought I would share with you a few of the calendars that I have made this week.  I thought we could send some out as thank you's for TC's Christmas presents and also a few to my friends as thank you's following the wonderful gifts I received for my 40th birthday recently.  Sorry about the quality of the photos - I can never get the light right in the house and it's pouring with rain outside so I can't go out there to take any photos. (Not that I'm complaining about the rain - it's better than the snow - so I'm happy to have poor quality photos if it means the snow stays away).  I have just realised that one of the calendars looks a bit creased so apologies for that also - Mum and Dad will have to have that one.

Anyway I babble - and that's before I have had a glass of my M&S Kia Royale-  that's chilling in the fridge as we speak.  Not sure that Mr Kitty and I will manage to stay awake to see in the new year (we haven't done for the past few years) we normally get woken up by all the fireworks that are let off - or the phone ringing (note to self - unplug phone !)  I know it sounds a bit miserable but I feel so much better for the early night and not staggering in at daft o'clock - I feel younger now than I did when I was 29 !!!!!!!!!!!!! Not to mention my poor feet - I dread to think how many times I walked home from the pub with no shoes on cos my big boots have started to hurt my feet.

So it will be a couple of games of junior monopoly for us and maybe even a game of bingo (can't you tell TC is at that age).  A glass of cava a couple of alpini chocolates and a fab night in with my boys - perfect :-)

Thanks for stopping by

Have a fabulous evening and happy 2012

Baking At Kitty's House

Hello

We have been baking here at Kitty-Cat headquarters - Mr Kitty has been at work so once the jobs were done out came the scales and the mixing bowls.

TC made chocolate cakes, I made fairy cakes with dried fruit in them (Mr Kitty Cat doesn't do chocolate - which is a blessing cos it means more for me).

We have been inspired by the Great British Bake Off (although Mary Berry would have a turn if she did actually see my fairy cakes as they are all different sizes !!!!) my Tuesday nights are just not the same now it has finished, well done to all the contestants who made it to the shows but a special well done to Jo, I was proper chuffed she won.

So while the fairy's were cooking we moved onto making English Muffins following a recipe from Lorraine Pascale's new book Home Cooking Made Easy. Unfortunately I discovered that I had run out of strong white bread flour - so we had to make ours out of wholemeal but I am still really pleased with them. They were so easy to make - I couldn't believe it.

Happy Saturday, Thanks for stopping By
